To be in the presence of the horse is a privilege and one of life’s greatest honors. The horse will always mirror back to us what we need to learn, they are life’s greatest teachers and the greatest of healers. I believe in giving back to the equine community and I’m proud that a portion of the profit from each purchase will be donated to the The 501(c)(3) nonprofit Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance accredits, inspects, and awards grants to approved aftercare organizations to retrain, retire, and rehome Thoroughbreds using industry-wide funding.
Funded initially by seed money from Breeders’ Cup Ltd., The Jockey Club, and Keeneland Association Inc., Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance is supported by owners, trainers, breeders, racetracks, aftercare professionals, and other industry groups.
Since 2012, Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance has granted more than $36.04 million to accredited aftercare organizations and 18,500 Thoroughbreds have been retrained, rehomed, or retired by accredited organizations.
Currently, 83 organizations with approximately 175 facilities hold Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance accreditation.
